run between the dropsWhat did the cow say to the porcupine? Mooooooooo My son River, the comic, the mathematician, the entertainer, the bargain hunter, the critic. . . I could go on and on . . . came up with that one. I laughed and laughed. Finally one of his I truly found funny. I love it because you are expecting something way out there and he gives you reality. I love the unexpected. The other day, we were playing at a park and it started to rain. Not the kind of rain where you have to run to the car, just enough so you could call it rain. We played as the rain got heavier and finally we needed to go. We hid under a gazebo and I posed this question. "How do we get to the car without getting wet?" "We can't," was the reply. "Run between the drops," I suggested. So we zig-zagged our way back to the car. I know I was successful. My husband was telling me about a man who went with a group to meditate and pray at Auschwitz. Before they left the concentration camp, there was a ceremony led by a Rabi which spontaneously ended with dancing. The man didn't know what to do with this, it seemed wrong. I say, what a great way to transform the past, hit it with the unexpected, dance. So everyone out there try it, run between the drops. |
