hot

it's 95 degrees out and I understand siesta so much better, because of the heat there is no get-up in my go, so I'm just sitting, at least that is what I tell myself, I'm not sure why I lie, the truth is I'm tired and I need a break

when did we lose the luxery to have down time, the ability to sit and do nothing
we work and work and work, so mid-winter we have enough money to go to Hawaii for a week, drink mai tais and relax in the sun, it's too hot to do anything else we say

only in the heat do we allow ourselves to lay back and be lazy, in Germany we run around looking at castles, England, we oogle the royalty, Alaska, we go Salmon fishing

I've never heard anyone say, I just came back from Iceland where I chilled out for a while, except when they actually froze a body part

hopefully, the first forty degree day this winter, you'll find me sitting out in the backyard on a beach chair, a good light read in my hands, enjoying a well-deserved vacation
